GPS Guides Blind Man on Appalachian Trail

The Scripps Howard news service is reporting that a blind Minnesota man is hiking the 2,174-mile Appalachian Trail using a GPS-equipped cell phone. According to Mike Hanson, 44, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, his GPS-equipped cell phone “gives me everything I would need to know about the trail but the view.”
